weblog
Hello again
I started writing on UsableType In November 2004, and in the 28 months since then I have written here exactly 4 times. 1.7 posts a year—not that great.
This fifth post is accompanied by a new design by Denis Radenkovic and an entirely new server-side architecture, both of which I am pretty excited about. I started working with Denis on this sometime in November 2005, and I’m pretty certain he was beginning to think it would never see the light of day. I’m glad it finally has.
At the back-end I’ve moved over to all sorts of funky new technology. Most notably, the site is now powered by the Python powered web framework, Django, about which I’ve probably got more to say over the next few days.
Lastly, in a shocking move of complacency, I’ve turned system administrator and have a couple of slices of Ubuntu flavoured virtual machine from the brilliant guys at Slicehost. I’ve had great fun setting up development and production boxes with them, installing Lighttpd, Apache, Perforce, and all the rest of it.
None of this really means much to you of course, except that if you see any down-time here, it’s almost certainly my fault.
See you around!

I like your site. Well done brilliant boyfriend.x
Spiffy new design, chap. I'm looking forward to some more spiffy content to follow.
HAHA sorry but the opening paragraph made me chuckle, 1.7 posts a year - not that great. :)
Well good to see you have been busy, and havn't been sent to the developers retirement institution sitting around reading the paper in the sun and talking about how todays internet youth don't have "standards" like back in the day. :-D
Carly.
What's less funny, Taree, is how long it took me to work out what 4 divided by 28 is and then express that in terms of years.
Hello
I am really excited. Keep up the great work. Good resources here.
Bye
